An iconic building in Saint-Gilles inaugurated in 1905, the Aegidium was a mecca for Brussels nights and parties in the early 20th century. This Oriental-style venue hosted grandiose shows, film screenings, and church activities before falling into oblivion in the early 1980s. At the front of the building, a café-restaurant beckons: Cafe Flora. 114 years after its original opening, it is finally coming back to life. The inspiration comes from the 1930s, in the spirit of a Milanese café, before moving on to the 1980s and the Memphis movement.
