The Café del Mar franchise was brought to Malta in the summer of 2013 and it is located in Qawra Point, San Pawl il-Bahar. It is part of an EU-funded public-private partnership project based around the Malta National Aquarium Complex. Café del Mar Malta during the day operates a 350 capacity lido together with a restaurant serving lunch. During the night the restaurant serves dinner and the lounge area is used for cocktails. There are events on a regular basis such as the Café del Mar Sunday Sessions and also the Sunset Specials, which have seen a variety of internationally acclaimed DJs perform such as Antoine Clamaran, Annie Mac, Bakermat, Chicane, Dirty South, Klingande, Eats Everything, Skream, Artwork amongst others. These events can reach a capacity of approximately 4000 people.
