-STEVEN JULIEN- Steven Julien is a London-based artist, producer,composer, and DJ working across club music,film, radio,and contemporary art. Known for a rhythm-led, hardware-driven approach, his work prioritises feel, low-end pressure,and emotional restraint over genre convention. Julien has collaborated with Yasiin Bey, composed music for filmmakers including Steve McQueen and Jenn Nkiru,and contributed sound to projects presented at Tate,including work connected to the legacy of Keith Haring. His practice has also extended into fashion through a Nike x Apron collaboration. As the founder of Apron, Julien has played a key role in shaping contemporary underground electronic music, while maintaining a strong focus on his own artistic output.
