From Dublin to Belfast, YARD pushes electro-noise towards a physical impact, Zoë Mc Pherson shifts the energy of the dancefloor into more unstable realms, whilst Lullahush reimagines Irish folk as a glitchy, tender and futuristic sound. SARC offers a taste of its immersive sound experiments, whilst a~a~r~d~e~n~t blends Gaelic vocals, synths and Atlantic rain into a Franco-Irish future-folk sound. ELLL continues this journey with fragmented rhythms and deep basslines that reshape the listening space. __________________________________ ★YARD: An electro-noise trio from Dublin, YARD propels the Irish scene towards a state of physical saturation. Guitars, machines, vocals and drums collide in an electronic post-punk sound tailor-made for live performance – direct, edgy, almost industrial. High-impact music, designed to keep bodies on their toes. ★SARC: Based at Queen’s University Belfast, the SARC – Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Sound and Music – is a major European centre dedicated to sound practices. Research, composition, spatialisation, audiovisual performance and immersive technologies coexist here, particularly within the Sonic Lab, a multi-channel laboratory-venue designed for listening to sound in volume. For Musica, the SARC presents a selection of projects developed over recent years. ★ Zoë Mc Pherson: An electronic artist, performer and producer, Zoë Mc Pherson creates music of contrasts, straddling the physicality of the club, hyperkinetic rhythms, experimental synthesis and audiovisual forms. Her live performances shift the energy of the dancefloor towards more unstable, political and sensory realms, within a practice that is constantly evolving. ★ Lullahush: Under the name Lullahush, Daniel McIntyre reinvents Irish folk through electronic music. Fragmented samples, field recordings, vocals, traditional instruments and glitch textures come together to create music of homecoming and displacement, haunted by Dublin, exile, memory and the sea. A ‘trad’ reimagined, at once tender, strange and futuristic. ★ a~a~r~d~e~n~t: Founded in Strasbourg in 2025, a~a~r~d~e~n~t brings together Clément Chanaud-Ferrenq and Darragh Quinn in a Franco-Irish future-folk sound interwoven with Gaelic vocals, the violin, the harmonium and synthesisers.
