Soul House and Samewave Radio team up with Black Techno Matters (DC) for a special Juneteenth gathering celebrating the black roots of techno music. We encourage folks of all identities to join the festivities. We invite you to come as you are and dance the night away! We recognize the dance floor as a space for collective liberation, which is particularly critical during the onslaught of hateful ideologies permeating all levels of US society. We're excited to host a stacked lineup of techno masterminds all deeply rooted and respected in their respective cities: The AM/AMX: Ann-Marie Teasley, known as The AM, and most recently AMX comes from the Detroit - Berlin school of techno. By connecting the dots between the past, present, and future of the Detroit sound, she has translated the futuristic musical ideas of back then into the present. Before becoming one of Detroit's most exciting new producers, the orchestra kid played in the first violin section of Metro Detroit’s Oakland Youth Orchestra. She made her entrance as a DJ playing underground parties in Detroit and NYC before dropping her debut EP “Black Majik” on Berlin’s Tresor label in 2022. The Detroit native also released a second EP “Sexworker” on the Dutch imprint Deeptrax Records, which Groove Mag DE described as “an abstraction of classic futuristic Detroit sound.” While being on iconic line ups like Movement Electronic Music Festival, Berghain’s Birthday Anniversary, Freedom Festival Columbia, and Bar Do Deca Brazil, she began to release electro tracks with catchy vocals under the monicker AMX, starting out with “Ride.” On NYC’s Haus of Altr label. Followed by “Werk It.” on International Chrome. She returned to the Tresor label in 2024 as AMX for their collaboration with Carhartt WIP. In 2025 AMX was featured on EU labels Paraíso and Activity Vision. B_X_R_N_X_R_D: Bernard Farley is a self-taught multi-disciplinary artist and performer with a electronic music career spanning 20 years and covering genres from techno and electronic pop to ambient and experimental music. As B_X_R_N_X_R_D, his music blurs the line between DJing and live performance, using a suite of roland drum machines, synths, and fx to create mesmerizing and intricate sonic journeys. Get ready to go someplace you haven't quite been before JENNGREEN: JENNGREEN is a deep rooted, music hermit who has crafted her voice through DIY amateur to pirate radio, online radio residencies with a background in FM radio. She is heavily influenced by her Detroit & Chicago roots; translating her vast musical curiosity and voracious appetite into both exploring and fully supporting underground music. Jenn relocated to Seattle in 2014, where she has been contributing and immersing herself deeply within the Seattle underground since attending Decibel Festival. Jenn is currently a Resident DJ at Kremwerk with her monthly residency 'Atmosphérique' held in Timbre Room every 1st Friday of a new month, established Dec 2022 - Present 2026 Jenn has handcrafted mixes for Dublab, The Lot Radio, NTS, KEXP, Worldwide FM, Radio AlHara - راديو الحارة, Particle FM, Balamii, Deep Breakfast Series and RPU Amsterdam.
