Rezzett (Live)

We’re super excited to announce a new night of raw, hazy, live electronics on Thursday 24th September as we welcome elusive duo Rezzett to Hastings along with support from Brighton’s EM-. Pioneering a “lo-fi” sound that has become ubiquitous in the world of dance music, Rezzett released their debut album in 2018, and have since been performing in venues across the world, their distinct sound translating just as well to the dancefloor as it does to gallery spaces, the occasional church, Tresor, Cafe Oto and festivals, such as Meakusma and Dekmantel. Rezzett present a live experience that matches the raw euphoria of their recorded sound. Expect drum machine driven gnarly wizardry, hidden behind a fog of smoke and strobes. Rezzett music’s first surfaced as the soundtrack to a couple of sketchy, self-made video clips back in early 2013. The duos grizzly, head-banging debut EP “Rezzett” soon followed on The Trilogy Tapes. Most of their subsequent releases have been exclusively released by the label alongside occasional short run, exclusive and/or self-released works. Their most recent self-released album ‘Into The Boiling Darks’ was initially a tape only release on TTT. @thetrilogytapes Rezzett have also composed soundtracks for leading fashion brands Cavempt, Palace, Puma, and Human Made, and worked with photographer Alasdair McLellan. They have collaborated with Beau Wanzer (as BOREZ) and remixed Omar Souleyman amongst others. We’re really luck to have the duo visit Hastings as one of only a handful of live shows this year. Support comes from Brighton based EM- who returns to Hastings after their excellent opening live set at French’s in February. Expect dense synthetic textures, playful glitchy grooves and moments of accelerating chaos.
