You know it when you hear him play: a chugging, infectious groove at home in dark warehouses and out in the sunshine. Chris is a regular at Panorama Bar, Basement, Power Dance Club, and Block9 at Glastonbury. He brings the spirit of the warehouse party he threw for a decade in Los Angeles, Spotlight: celebrating and reclaiming queer roots of house, techno, and underground dance music. About Mercedes: I first fell in love with house music as a dancer in the mid 90s, a timeless era that afforded me the opportunity to attend many iconic, all ages gatherings in Portland, OR. In 2001, my DJing graduated from the bedroom to local venues and since that time I have been blessed to play a plethora of events up and down the West Coast. My sound is primarily influenced by Chicago House, with a hefty sprinkling of West Coast flavor. I have had the honor to play alongside many legendary artists including Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, DJ Heather, DJ Minx, and DJ Pierre to name a few. House music is my passion and my hope is to share my love of this music with as many people as possible.
