Ponyboy Halloween : A Nightlife Horror Opera (GALVANIZERS TAKEOVER)

Ponyboy Halloween: A Nightlife Horror Opera The last Ponyboy for a while, curtain call: a funeral and closing ceremony. The Ponyboy cast stumble upon an abandoned opera house, gearing up to stage their most ambitious show to date only to find the orchestra onboarded for the show carry a sinister presence. For Halloween this year, in by far our most ambitious and entirely dramatic show to date, we explore the connections between opera and horror in suspense-building, crescendos, swells, sudden shifts in pitch and pacing, reinterpreted both live (orchestra, opera) and electronically through DJ sets. We'll trace opera through both classic slasher lineage (an ensemble cast picked off one by one) and high-art new-wave horror, where the score drives the story and the horror lives in the psychological. Thank you to SWG3 for supporting us to bring the production to the highest possible standard
