Patchlab 2026: AVnight 3. AV performances Hevre+1, Beera Meiselsa 18, 31-058 Kraków 17.10.2026 | 20:00 ________ AVnight 3 on Saturday evening at Hevre +1 will immerse the audience in two worlds suspended between memory, fiction and simulation. Both performances ask how realities are constructed when they seem familiar, yet are assembled from fragments of memory, data and imagination. A digital journey through landscapes and ecosystems by an Italian collective from Rome, alongside a retrofuturist odyssey presented in collaboration with MUTEK, one of the leading international platforms dedicated to electronic music and digital art, will come together in an intense, immersive experience. ________ 𝙇𝙀𝙎 𝙀𝙈𝙋𝙄𝙍𝙀𝙎 | 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙪𝙢𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙪 𝘿𝙪𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙩 & 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙤 _𝘾𝘼 A retrofuturist, surreal audiovisual odyssey drawing on science fiction, mythology and the aesthetics of analogue electronics. Coutu-Dumont’s music, informed by krautrock, ambient and the synthesiser sounds of the 1970s and 1980s, creates the hypnotic atmosphere of a world that feels strangely familiar, although it may never have existed. Line Katcho’s visual layer unfolds a narrative of imagined empires — their emergence, expansion, collapse and recurring rebirth. Abstract imagery, symbols and fragmented narratives form a shifting landscape of power structures, suspended between a forgotten past and a fabricated future. Time loses its linearity, history merges with fiction, and memory with projection. Les Empires constructs a simulation of an alternative history and future, revealing how easily imagined worlds can acquire the texture of memory and lived experience. Nostalgia here does not refer to what has actually been lost, but to a synthetic past — one that can be constructed, experienced and almost claimed as one’s own. The performance is presented in collaboration with MUTEK, with financial support from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec. ________ 𝙀𝙇𝙄𝙎𝘼 | 𝘽𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙩 _𝙄𝙏 An audiovisual performance tracing the journey of a virtual microorganism through landscapes, memories and living systems. Structured like a road movie, the work transforms sounds, images, field recordings and fragments of experience gathered during the artists’ travels into an immersive composition. Layers of sound, electronic rhythms and generative imagery create a world in which physical places merge with their digital transformations. The virtual microorganism becomes a metaphor for the invisible connections between ecosystems, landscapes and people. The performance explores how technology can transform reality into a new, partly imagined world. What has been seen and recorded returns as simulation, where memory, observation and generated imagery overlap and continuously reshape one another.
