My Soul To Keep - A Black House Music Experience

For generations, Black dance floors have been places of liberation, celebration, and community—where music becomes memory and joy becomes a form of resistance. My Soul To Keep continues that tradition. Debuting at Houston’s Historic Eldorado Ballroom, this inaugural event creates a new home for Black house music in one of the city’s most meaningful cultural spaces. The series honors the roots of the music while spotlighting artists shaping its future. Headlining is Baltimore icon Karizma, whose influence spans generations of DJs and producers. He’s joined by Funke, known for spiritually driven sets that transform the dance floor; KILOBAUUD, a New Orleans artist pushing forward Southern Black dance music; and Matthew Worldwide, whose soulful style blends house, disco, and jazz. Together, they represent the evolution of Black house music across regions and generations. But My Soul To Keep is about more than the lineup—it’s about the experience. This is a space to move freely, reconnect, and celebrate Black creativity. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the culture, you’re invited to be part of something rooted in authenticity and joy.
