Rhythm’s next Long Play is a night dedicated to Daft Punk, exploring two defining moments in the French duo’s catalogue: Homework (1997) and Random Access Memories (2013), hosted by Lychee. From the raw, filtered and loop-driven of their debut record to their final studio album the night traces the evolution of Daft Punk expansive range. Played in full, these two records offer a study in contrast: the rawness and repetition of Homework alongside the warmth and studio craft of Random Access Memories. Together, they reveal the remarkable range of a catalogue that continues to influence electronic music decades later.
