Descripción

With references to Cantabrian magical realism and captivating passages of human metaphysics, Amanda Mur creates a dialogue between synthetic and organic textures that is deeply emotionally charged. Amanda Mur constructs a musical universe that connects the past, present and future through a deeply sensory and earthy imagination. Her work links her Cantabrian roots with an artistic quest where tradition and the avant-garde, spirituality and experimentation coexist. Amanda Mur’s music envelops and moves the listener, inhabiting a realm steeped in mystery, emotion and hybrid beauty. Amanda Mur’s story begins in 1996 in Cantabria, where she began her professional studies in piano and singing before moving to Madrid to undertake a Higher Degree in Composition and continue her training in operatic singing. During this academic period, she undertook an intensive exploration of technique and sound, leading her to create concert works performed at venues such as the National Music Auditorium and the Teatro de la Zarzuela. His compositions transcend rigid boundaries and occupy a realm of fusion and transculturality. This academic background is complemented by influences present since childhood: the atmospheres of nature, the soundscapes of rural and urban life, and the resonance of church organs. As a gesture of breaking away from the division between the academic and the popular, Amanda Mur’s music is defined by hybridisation, contrast and the constant search for new forms of expression.
