In The Dance returns! Step back in for our third curated night for the heads. Expect a night of the finest Breakbeat, Proto-Dubstep, 2-Step, and more. Saturday, July 18th. East Williamsburg Loft (20 Meadow St. - Floor 2) Our resident Secret Set warms up the dance with a formula of underground broken rhythms. At midnight, something wicked debuts in the states for one night only. This mystery UK-based DJ and producer reclaims dub & step, lacing bubbly breaks with shades of early Tempa Recordings. A staple of Bristol’s Dimeshift imprint, he has also released on ec2a, Dance Regular, and Warehouse Rave. LA-based producer and DJ Linda Lo keeps things Steamy. Merging garage & dubstep foundations with Latin American dance traditions, she subverts bass music's macho sensibilities with irresistibly danceable sub pressure. She has released on labels including NO BIAS, Program Audio, and has an upcoming vinyl release on LA label URIEL. The space is equipped with proper sound for the dance.
