DJ Plead turns the rhythms of Lebanese weddings into club music built for a sound system, TAYHANA arrives from Mexico City with cumbia, gabber and trance held in the same hand. A third name still to come. __________________________________ ★ Jarred Beeler, better known as DJ Plead, is a Lebanese-Australian producer whose club tracks are led by drums above everything else. Since his first EP "Get in Circle" on air max '97's DECISIONS in 2018, he has released on Nervous Horizon, AD 93 and Livity Sound, and co-founded the SUMAC label. His style borrows the rhythms, scales and timbres of Lebanese pop and traditional wedding music, folding them into contemporary club and 2000s R&B: infectious, and sad and celebratory at once, as he described the songs he grew up with. In 2026 he formed PPP with Piezo and DJ Python. ★ Melody Tayhana grew up in Caleta Olivia, southern Patagonia, and was studying film in Buenos Aires when she co-founded HiedraH Club de Baile in 2013, a collective that turned its political action into dancing and into the defence of bodies. Now based in Mexico City and part of the N.A.A.F.I. collective, she released her first album "Tierra del Fuego" there in 2019 and went on to produce "CUUUUuuuuuute" for Rosalía's Motomami.
