Tedd Patterson is a legendary figure in New York’s underground house music scene, widely respected for his deep roots in the city’s club culture and his genre-blending approach to DJing. After moving from Atlanta to New York in the 1990s, he quickly established himself within the dance music community through roles at influential labels like Emotive Records and Liquid Groove, while also building his reputation as a dynamic club DJ. His rise accelerated after appearances at iconic venues such as Limelight, Tunnel, and Save The Robots, eventually leading to a breakout role at Miami’s famed Magic Sessions alongside Louie Vega and Tony Humphries. Releases like the “Sessions Twelve” compilation on Defected and his track “Welcome To The Magic Session” helped cement his international reputation. Known for his adventurous and soulful fusion of sounds, Patterson became a defining presence in New York nightlife through his long-running VIBAL residency at the award-winning club Cielo. Over the years, he has also played at globally respected venues including Ministry of Sound in London, Panorama Bar in Berlin, Pacha Ibiza, and Stereo in Montreal. As a producer and remixer, his work has appeared on celebrated labels such as Defected, Nervous, and Rekids, with collaborations alongside Pete Heller, Eric Kupper, and Chus & Ceballos becoming recognized house classics. In recent years, Patterson has continued to evolve as both a DJ and producer, creating music with artists including The Illustrious Blacks, Inaya Day, and Joi Cardwell, while remixing projects for Louie Vega, Honey Dijon, and Meshell Ndegeocello.
