Workshops Groovement, founded & facilitated by dana e fitchett, is an all-levels movement class that encourages comfort and joy within the container of a structured dance class centered on rhythm, musicality, and authentic expression. dana shares the movement that comes most naturally to her: a hybrid reinterpretation of experiences dancing at home, in studios, and in clubs. Class soundtrack spans Afro and soulful house, Afrobeats, hip-hop, R&B, jazz, reggae, and more. Groovement is an Afrocentric, QTBIPOC-friendly, liberation-focused, hate-free, pro-love space. All levels, all ages welcome. Comfort with music and movement is helpful. Sweats or other danceable clothes and sneakers suggested. She is always looking to try methods that would support the important work of self expression and the release of emotions. Johnnie "Sol Blessed" Mendez is a DJ wizard who combines medicine and house music to create deep, melodic, healing rhythms that will have your heart open and body moving. "A+Solmatic Flow" is an immersive experience through soul awakening music, and expression between stillness and movement. Held in a nurturing container of intentional music and personal exploration, this workshop has been lovingly curated to help you deepen the connection to yourself and others through guided meditation and free-form movement.
