Counterpoint presents: Halloween Special

For the third year in a row, we’re heading back to Era Uma Vez no Porto for our Halloween Special. This time we’re welcoming a guest rooted in British club culture, celebrating two decades in the game for one of our own, and bringing together some very familiar faces from the house. Born and raised in London, Opalia brings a strong influence from British club culture, with selections that move across House, Disco, UK Garage and Drum & Bass. Now based in Lisbon, where she has become a regular at venues like Ministerium, Kremlin and Village Underground, she makes her Counterpoint debut in Porto. The night also marks Basic’s 20-year career. His journey began in 2006 with Basic Manuvers, continued through 105 Agency, and since 2014 has been closely tied to the history of Counterpoint. Over this past decade, Ricardo has been one of the key people shaping our musical and curatorial identity, both as a promoter and as a label. Two decades of dedication to Drum & Bass culture, in and out of the booth, deserve to be marked properly. And knowing Basic, the best way to do that is still to put him behind the decks. Rounding out the lineup are Ramsight and Bankz B2B Denial.exe, three resident names who need no introduction and who join us for another night dedicated to what keeps bringing us together.
