Cafe Reflexion: Portland ME Debut - ft XSB-R

Cafe Reflexion (NYC) debuts its first event in Portland ME at Ugly Duckling XSB-R of Brooklyn, New York, who vacations every year in Portland, will be sparking the morning of Friday September 4th 2026 with a 4-hr Open-Format Dark Electronic DJ set spanning across multiple spectrums of genres, not limited to Darkwave, Post-Punk, and Proper Techno. XSB-R (48-2) is the electronic music project of Brooklyn native Henry Chen, whose sound is rooted in the Goth, Industrial, and Dark Techno scenes of the New York Tri-State area. Drawing from years spent on the region’s dancefloors, XSB-R channels a deep connection to cultural heritage and musical lineage while exploring dark electronic sounds from around the world. Over the years, Henry founded TUNNELWERK, a platform and monthly event series dedicated to Acid, EBM, Noise, and Underground Techno, showcasing both local DJs and producers. He also served as a resident at Caffeine Underground in Bushwick, where he launched Cafe Reflexion, an intimate gathering focused on Darkwave and Industrial-adjacent music in a coffeehouse setting.
