The Bumpmaster Boys bring the Bumpmaster 9000 Soundsystem to Arcana for a night of carefully curated music played through a soundsystem built by hand and with love. Good Question, Sanya, and James K, will guide the room through an open ended journey of grooves, unexpected selections, and music made for dancing. Friday August 14 9:30pm - 1:30am No Cover Good Question is the Oakland based alias of Will Sperry, a DJ, music curator, and sound system specialist with a groove first approach to underground music. Moving freely between styles and eras, his selections are guided less by genre than by one essential question: does it make the room move? Outside the booth, Sperry works through Good Question Sound, designing and installing listening systems throughout the Bay Area. Sanya asks the question. Can we go deeper? And he answers with pouring synths, exploratory melody, and tracks that answer with a true respect and passion for the craft. If you like to dance… or just work something out on the dance floor. He has your back. After stepping away from DJing, James K returns to the booth for a rare set at Arcana. Coming out of retirement for the occasion, James completes the night’s three part journey through the Bumpmaster 9000.
