THIS SOUND SYSTEM IS SPECIAL Through Boston Wax Club, we run a fully custom HSD Sound Systems rig the only setup of its kind at any pub or venue in the area. It's not a generic PA. It's a 4-way amplified, hi-fi point-source system, meaning every driver in the rig gets its own dedicated amplifier channel and DSP-managed crossover instead of a passive splitter dividing one signal across everything. That's the difference between a system that just gets loud and one that stays clean, controlled, and musical at any volume. The rig: - 2x HSD Eagle — 18" front-loaded horn subwoofers, tuned for deep, controlled low-end (29Hz–150Hz) - 2x HSD Uppercut — full-range tri-amp cabinets (15" woofer, 8" midrange, 1.4" compression driver), 45Hz–20kHz, 60°x40° dispersion for even coverage across the room - 2x HSD KD-Series amplifiers (4KD) — Class D, 64-bit/96kHz DSP processing per channel, actively driving each element of the system independently Because every frequency band is separately amplified and DSP-tuned rather than passively filtered, the result is balanced sound pressure across the entire frequency spectrum, with the lowest distortion and the purest signal we can deliver in the room. Bass hits with real depth without swallowing the mids, vocals and melodic detail stay present and textured even at volume, and the top end stays smooth instead of harsh. It's built to hold up equally for people who came to dance and people who came to actually listen.
