PRONOUNS WHATS TEA?! @_bodyhack_ is back next Thursday Sept 24th at @nowadaysnyc and we are joined by @lf710 @putaflakamala @yeehawyaz @loka.000 and our residents @archangeldj @cielo__online to raise some coin for TQCF who is supporting our siblings affected by ICE! Often isolated from their immediate families, trans and queer people are getting lost in the U.S. immigration system. This month we are raising funds for TQ Community Fund @tqcommunityfund a mutual-aid fund for Trans and Queer people currently in detention and those who have been recently released. The fund accommodates requests for commissary, communication, bond and re-entry support. help us support this life saving fund and learn more about how to support our migrant family locally and beyond. indoors to start off the night–@tqcommunity fund will be hosting “Communication is Community” is a workshop informed by siblings inside detention who are resisting forces that isolate them. Facilitated by TQCF, we’ll discuss direct support while writing letters and making zines. during our happy hour— we have our t4t vendors market ALL NIGHT <3 to the tune of our bb swello @cielo__online on the decks outdoors, as always we will also have community resources from callen-lorde, trans health hq and free dental screenings + harm reduc. thanks to bkhroc + lysergia <3 also this month, we will have the sweetest @lilchloglo offering free gender affirming voice lessons later in the night—our afterparty indoors we have @lf710 opening, followed by– @yeehawyaz @putaflakamala our resident angel @archangeldj and closing off the night @loka.000 AS ALWAYS- @Nowadaysnyc is hooking us up with 2-For-1 drinks From 8–11pm when you whisper the magic pw: T4T (Yes, We Got Non-Alcoholic Options Too!) ⊹˚♬₊⋆ Entry is $25 (Or Pay What You Can—Sliding Scale). 100% Of The Door And 20% Of The Bar Go Directly To Our Trans Talent, Organizers, And Our Beneficiaries. /// Entry is at the discretion of our door staff. During parties the driveway gate is locked, so please ask staff at the street entrance for assistance with entry. All of our bathrooms are gender-neutral. There is one accessible stall indoors. Just ask any Nowadays staff member for the key, and they can show you the way. During parties, seating is available both on and off the dance floor. While we don’t have a dedicated quiet space indoors during parties, the booths next to coat check are a little quieter, and the deck and back yard a little quieter than that. Most nighttime parties include the use of strobe lights and water based haze.
