Body Contact: Burnin' Up

It's August in Madison, folks, and our long, hot summer keeps rolling on. And while I wish that we could promise you relief at Body Contact, alas we have an evening of PURE HEAT lined up for you on the 28th! Sorry, friends, our mistake! I guess you'll just have to come on down to the @rigbypub, catch some burning hot music, and sweat it out with us. We're excited and delighted to have Milwaukee's @asherdgray joining us as our esteemed guest this month! Asher Gray is a dynamic force in the electronic music scene, drawing inspiration from the classic sounds of Chicago, Detroit, and the greater Midwest. His musical style encompasses a rich tapestry of nostalgic rave, electro, spacey house, and deep Chicago jack. A multi- instrumentalist and seasoned production veteran, Asher has released music on esteemed labels such as Nervous NYC, Grandcity Records, Disposable Commodities, Formed By Glaciers and his latest project, Be There, on his own label Club Ritual Records. Since 1998, Asher has been a prominent figure in the US DJ circuit, hosting his own monthly underground events in Milwaukee. His parties — Fresh 2 Death, Le Freak, Club Ritual, and FunkyFruit — have become essential gatherings for the electronic music community both locally and beyond. The maestro maaaaaaaaaaaay also be playing some reel-to-reel for us! We're expanding into new and exciting physical formats here at Body Contact. Music starts at 8 PM.
