Blacks' Myths

Blacks’ Myths is a DC-based duo exploring rhythm structure and soundscapes via drums, bass & electronics. Luke Stewart (Irreversible Entanglements, Silt Trio) and Trae Crudup compose and improvise as Blacks’ Myths to express a musical message that is “hypnotic and free.” With new music out last year featuring experimental pianist Pat Thomas, Stewart & Crudup deepen the practice and bring it to share in Detroit. With exceptional support, drummer Louis Jones III assembles a fiery Detroit trio with Marcus Elliot (reeds) and Michael Abbo (bass). The one and only Zach Saginaw aka Shigeto will set the scene and soundtrack the in-betweens.
