Two of Boston's powerhouse collectives are teaming up to bring you a *proper* taste of the underground. The Vibe Syndicate and AboveGround are thrilled to welcome two very special guests - Taso and Sir Hiss - for an unforgettable ALL-NIGHT function. TASO is a DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who blends a signature style of footwork, 160, and bass-heavy productions. Originally hailing from Lynn, MA, Taso joined the infamous Teklife crew out of Chicago in 2012 and has released on major labels such as Atlantic, Hyperdub, Exit, Tempa, and 1985. Expect a high-energy hybrid set combining Taso's original productions with jaw-dropping, live finger-drumming on his MPC. SIR HISS is a Bristol, UK-based DJ, producer, and label head. Working at the intersection of grime, electro, and UK club music, Sir Hiss' tracks carry a signature mix of sharp drum programming, unexpected melodies, and serious low-end weight. From releasing on iconic labels such as Pineapple Records, Clasico, White Peach, and his own imprint No More Mailouts, to hosting his monthly residency on SWU FM, Sir Hiss brings the innovative sound of Bristol to each and every set.
