From Oʻahu’s historic Chinatown nightclubs to the breezy rooftops of Waikiki, Honolulu’s music scene is kept energized because of individuals like Riana Stellburg, better known as Tittahbyte. DJ and event producer, this persistent Taurus has been making waves since her debut in 2012. Tittahbyte is an equally celestial and down-to-earth being. Born and raised on the island of Oʻahu, she is deeply rooted in her Filipino and Irish heritage. Growing up in a musical household, Tittahbyte obsessed over digging for new tunes. She later pursued a degree in Journalism in 2011, which transitioned into a 9 year stint as a writer and events photographer at CONTRAST Magazine and The Star-Advertiser, Hawaiʻi's largest daily newspaper. Her reputation as a nightlife reporter put her musical sensitivity in the forefront organically growing into an outlet for sharing her bedroom mixes. It was a nudge from esteemed turntablist DJ Revise who saw her passion for music, and encouraged her to pursue DJing. In a few short years, Tittahbyte was hosting parties across Honolulu that brought new genres to the city’s soundscape. Opening for acts like Kaytranada, Billie Eilish, and Childish Gambino as a resident DJ at The Republik, Tittahbyte eventually started booking talent for BAMP Project, Hawaiʻi's premier concert promotion company. She is responsible for introducing national, emerging artists like GoldLink and Kehlani to Hawaiʻi audiences. Her versatile mixing style and full spectrum sound blends hip-hop, indie dance, disco funk, future bass, and Top 40. In 2014, she became the 1st female DJ to make it as a semifinalist in the Bacardi Iron DJ competition. FLUX Magazine took notice too, and enlisted Tittahbyte to compile exclusive Best Of mixes for subscribers. She has distinguished herself as the point person for out-of-town DJs looking to setup a gig in Hawaiʻi, and as full-time creative for lifestyle brand About The Goods, has been able to organize a list of well curated concerts with SOSUPERSAM, Neil Armstrong, Falcons and more. Tittahbyte’s influence and energy extends beyond her unique approach to turntablism allowing her to rock any crowd from fashion shows to music festivals, or an underground club. Her quality selection is recognized by tastemakers alike from Soulection to the 143 Family along with her mainstream clientele.
