Techfui

Techfui is a Bahrain-born underground music platform [club night, vinyl label and radio show, built around like-minded artists collaborative] operating since 1999 in the deep, micro, groove and dub-leaning corners of house and techno. What began as a residency at Manama's Likwid and LEVEL, with early guests including Âme (Frank Wiedemann), Peace Division and Mazi, has grown into a roaming curatorial project. Nights travel across the region; the vinyl imprint has released work from Rashed Al Dhaen, Doubting Thomas, Anton Kubikov, Tolga Fidan, Techu, Ada Kaleh, Wareika, Thomas Melchior and DUST; and the monthly radio show Techfui FM broadcasts on Radio Alhara (Palestine) and Radio Flouka (France). The ethos holds across formats: long-form storytelling, hypnotic groove and a preference for honest, unconventional work over algorithm-friendly trends. Bookings, lineups and dancefloors are built around the same belief - that the right sound, in the right room, at the right hour, is enough. Founded by Salah Sadeq.
