Sunrise Zone started as a mobile party on a Sunday in early February 1991 at club Faz in Mavili Square. At the beginning of 1992, it created its own natural space, the club Alsos in Pedio Areos. It is the biggest club of the time that was entirely formed by Sunrise with the creation - for the first time in Greece - of three different stages, following the standards of the corresponding clubs in London. Since then, it established the Dance scene in Athens, hosting for seven consecutive years the biggest names in the field, such as Prodigy, Sasha, Westbam, Laurent Garnier, Opus 3, Judge Jules, Kevin Saunderson, LTJ Bukem, Fabio & Grooverider, Marusha and many other artists. Sunrise also organized many dance events outside of Alsos, especially during the summer months, such as the famous parties on a ship in the port of Piraeus, where each deck of the ship was an autonomous Dance Floor with a different DJ. For the last 10+ years it continues in the form of an anniversary party while it has already hosted famous pioneer names of the electronic scene such as Altern8 and 808 State. For 5 consecutive years it is on the "air" with the participation of all the renowned Greek DJs as well as well-known foreign guests such as Mark Archer, Judge Jules, Richie Fingers etc. Tune in every Friday 00:00-02:00 to Sunrise Radio Zone on Athens Free Radio 98.1 FM.
