SMUDGE Berlin is a flinta* and friends platform for collective nightlife, cultural exchange, and radical visibility. Born in Berlin and shaped by the communities and dynamic collectives that move it, SMUDGE brings together flinta, queer, bipoc and female collectives, artists, activists, performers, and cultural workers who believe that nightlife can be more than entertainment— it can be a space for connection, representation, and collective transformation. Every edition is built collaboratively. The collectives involved may change, evolve, and expand over time, but the mission remains the same: creating space for voices, identities, and communities that continue to shape the future of club culture. SMUDGE exists at the intersection of music, art, performance, conversation, and flinta* community. It celebrates queer-feminist perspectives, collective care, creative freedom, and the power of gathering together. Rooted in underground and popculture and driven by collaboration, it creates experiences that move beyond the traditional club night and into something more meaningful, emotional, and socially connected. The inaugural edition of SMUDGE opened Berlin Pride 2026 bringing together over 15 artists and a nationwide alliance of collectives committed to increasing visibility and representation for FLINTA*, BIPOC, and queer communities. The first chapter: shaped by SLIC Unit, The Love Cruise, GOODIES, Layers Collective, and BreakUp Club—each contributing their own perspective on contemporary queer-feminist culture. From euphoric dancefloors and interdisciplinary art to community storytelling, spoken word performance, and collective joy, these projects represented a new generation of flinta* nightlife culture: diverse, emotional, political, and unapologetically inclusive. Together with AQUAHÖFE Berlin and Ritter Butzke, SMUDGE helps to establish a dedicated FLINTA* space in the heart of Kreuzberg, creating new opportunities for connection, expression, and visibility for now once a year. SMUDGE is an open invitation—to celebrate, to participate, to challenge conventions, and to build culture together. To live clubculture.
