Glowball
Info
Rooted in Taiwan, GLOWBALL is a transcultural music collective and festival dedicated to spotlighting regional club sounds and community-led dance music culture. The name plays on “global,” combining glow (to shine) and ball (a dance party, a sphere), reflecting a vision of shared radiance across borders.
Founded in 2024 by Taiwanese producer Sonia Calico and a close-knit circle of artists and friends from diverse backgrounds, GLOWBALL operates through music festivals, parties, and digital storytelling—bridging scenes, sounds, and subcultures across Asia and beyond.
From its very first edition, GLOWBALL was invited to be an official curator for Apple Music Taiwan, making it the first music festival in the country to receive this recognition. The honor reflects the festival’s commitment to accessible narratives and grassroots energy, pushing electronic music beyond genre and into cultural conversation.
At its core, GLOWBALL builds spaces for collective movement, underrepresented voices, and glow as resistance—because on the dancefloor, everyone belongs.
