GALA is the shared dream of two friends who cut their teeth organising student parties in Newcastle. More than a decade on, the festival has grown into an independent three-day celebration that beats in time with its South London home. Built around the artists, collectives, and communities who give it life, GALA moves to their metronome: warm, organic, soulful sounds at the core of dance music’s past, present, and future. Here, feet follow the music, hearts catch the rhythm, and the dance floor becomes a kind of reset button: life’s defibrillator. GALA is an ode to the originators and innovators who shaped club culture, and to the emerging artists pushing it forward. The list is never exhaustive.
