Funky Salad is religious; music is the religion, and Jackie Mittoo is one of the divinities. Funky Salad is always seeking inspiration in the vibrant city, listening to good music, and smiling at people. Funky Salad loves the light when the sun rises, a cold craft ipa and even more an extra cold martini cocktail, reading Hemingway, the almonds in august and the sound of the cicadas. Funky Salad likes riding around the empty streets during the summertime, on an old black legnano bike Funky Salad once went to a very posh wedding wearing a hawaiian shirt, a straw hat, comfortable shorts, white socks and shoes. Funky Salad loves to play in the daylight, at a pool party or in a small chiringuito at the beach but at night he takes off his sunglasses and starts to dig into his obscure records. Funky Salad plays only vinyl, a mix of soul, reggae, funk, afro beat, disco, italo & more. Born in Barcelona in the summer of 2023, Funky Salad is the son of an italian project, Il Lercio, with 15 years of dj sets, festivals and private events.
