Fuchsbau is one of Germany’s best-kept secrets. It’s an intimate urban arts and music festival, held every year in the woods near Hannover in the north of Germany and has welcomed the likes of artists such as Move D, Rødhåd or Hundreds and constantly engages in finding up-and-coming talents. Fuchsbau Festival devotes itself to exploring contemporary issues, structures, art and music. From performance art, to electronic music and progressive pop: the festival defies the limits of genre, boldly putting forward new and exciting ideas. Open discussions and workshops offer you the chance to get involved in the debate. This year’s theme is “The Heat of the Battle” after all. Under three different headings we will analyze in both literal and symbolic terms the idea of “battle”. Some, which we fight daily and others which we hope to never encounter. What evils lie at the heart of our society and how do we hope to remedy them in the future. What actually happens when we suddenly find ourselves at the point of “battle”. Despite all this fights, one thing remains clear: Fuchsbau remains familiar and cozy. This absolutely grandiose, venerable festival is very far from adopting a megalomaniac attitude. Though shall not have any other festivals before Fuchsbau. [Psalm 126, 34]
