Don't Funk the Groove is a Cleveland event series built around funky, soulful, disco-forward house, the music this culture was made on, not the festival version of it. Our flagship format, Drawn & Chosen, gives the night two community slots: one opener chosen from DJ mix submissions, one late slot drawn live from the bucket. Residents hold the rest. Across formats, the principles stay the same: groove over hype, dancefloor over the DJ, community over clout, discovery over predictable lineups. Founded and organized by lamar_z Cleveland, OH.
