Since 2017, independent music collective Club Djembe have been championing some of the most authentic and captivating underground dance music from around the world. The imprint’s aesthetic encapsulates the energy of UK club music, and infuses it with the rhythm of Amapiano, Afro House and Gqom. Having cut their teeth throwing parties at some of the best-loved clubs in Bristol, Club Djembe’s ability to consistently deliver inclusive and accessible dances of the highest calibre was quickly recognised. Soon came invitations to host stages at Bristol festivals Love Saves the Day and Simple Things, Croatia’s Outlook festival, as well as partnerships with Wray & Nephews, Campari and Koko Kanu. In their ongoing quest to discover the most formidable individuals within this sphere, Club Djembe has assembled a distinguished roster of artists hailing from all over the world. Their back catalogue includes music from UK dance music stalwarts such as Scratchclart, Roska, Ikonika, Hagan, Ramzee and Mista Silva, as well as relative newcomers to the scene including DJ Polo, Noire and Fiyahdred. Releases from such artists have been premiered by the likes of Resident Advisor, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Beatport and Crack Mag.
