Basy Tropikalne is an initiative showcasing contemporary electronic music from Latin America and Africa since 2015. Since its inception in 2015, Polish initiative Basy Tropikalne has been at the forefront of promoting electronic and club music scenes of Latin America, Africa and their diasporas. Growing organically from the weekly radio show it has evolved into a netlabel and event series becoming a go-to source for the latest releases and most exciting artists - after all it was Basy Tropikalne that was one of the first European outlets to focus on genres (e.g. gqom, singeli, neoperreo) and producers that went on to become worldwide sensations. Now in its tenth year of activity, Basy Tropikalne operates between Berlin and Poland curating in-demand parties that featured a mix of esteemed electronic music artists of global following (e.g. TSVI, Florentino, Toma Kami, Dengue Dengue Dengue), respected DJs hailed for their productions deeply rooted in their heritage (3Phaz, De Schuurman, Gavsborg) and exclusive performances by hottest names currently touring Europe (Loris, Yajaira la Beyaca, Viiaan, CRRDR) - a combination that has already caught an eye of not only the audience but also other artists, booking agencies, promoters and music critics.
