Based Collective is a community led events organiser, located in Yorkshire, creating inclusive, affordable and representative club culture. We champion underrepresented artists and audiences including queer, POC, femme, disabled, neurodivergent and working class people. Our events celebrate the roots of dance music in sound system culture and queer club culture, honouring the communities that built the scene and shaped UK nightlife. When our events are not for charity, we run a profit sharing model where all revenue is split equally between artists and organisers, with our share reinvested into future events, free parties and opportunities for new talent. We believe nightlife should be accessible, empowering and collaborative, and we are committed to building safer, louder dancefloors where everyone feels welcome, seen and valued. Given the rise of facist rhetoric in the UK it is more important than ever to not let that bleed into our spaces.
