In his youth, ZENO discovered music through the tribes of Wave and Rock music, attending countless concerts and festivals to explore the many different styles available. This allowed him to dive deep into the rich musical history of Belgium and to appreciate its value as cultural crossroads. As a DJ, ZENO tries to take the listener on a journey through his rich musical knowledge, trying to not just entertain but also uncover the roots of the sounds, going back to the early days of electronic music. He mixes eclectically, oftentimes building out sets on a foundation of New Beat, EBM and early Acid, House and Techno before venturing into more contemporary and innovative sounds. The vibrant Berlin community provided ZENO with the perfect platform to flourish as a regular reveler at parties like Golosa, Polymotion, and more. Additionally it gave him the opportunity to express activism through the not for profit Queer Mama, of which he is a founding member. He advocates for underrepresented groups, and ensuring they get their place in society as well as on the dancefloor. He emphasizes the significance of these communities in the history of music and their instrumental role in shaping the past, present, and future. Zeno strongly believes in elevating Berlin as a beacon of queer artistic energy, and wants to ensure its community inspires and supports other communities worldwide.
