Ylia, real name Vincent, is a French Dj and Producer from France, based in East London. He started to play when he was a teenager, mostly for fun. After years of break, he decided to consider it seriously in London. After different gigs in London, and mostly for Petru’s NSTKNT Klubnacht, he decided to seriously consider music productions using both hardwares and DAW. His style can be described as uptempo rolling techno, with a special emphasis on organic elements, developed textures and atmosphere, mostly based on recorded sounds from outdoor nature. He also tries to create aggressive sounds, with deep emotions, mystical or shamanic vibes, while at the same time adding touches of repetitive rhythms to build club-oriented tracks. Mostly inspired by his emotions, feelings but also by the world around him, like London parks exploration by night, abandoned places or industrial atmosphere. He recently launched his own imprint, ELATA, with the objective to promote his sound but also the London Underground scene. The first release consists of Various Artists, and his own EP will follow at the beginning of next year. ELATA is also a collective of London artists, organising parties and releasing podcasts from different producers.
