Yigit Karakas was born in May 28 1997 in Edirne, the city that opens up Turkey to Europe. In early ages, he discovered programs that lets him perform his art and he started producing mostly dance electronic music amateurishly. At the age of 15, he met the dance floor as an assistant DJ, and at the same year he had the chance to attend concerts where he was amazed and decided to cut his highschool education in half in the painting department of the fine arts high school and decided to focus on his music career. At the age of 17 he left his family’s home and moved to his dream city Istanbul, which is one of the most important cities in the world as it is a prominent city with its socia-cultural and historical importance in the world.  His Istanbul journey started with an education from SAE Institute on sound engineering for a year; the two seperate compliation of albums came out in CD formats in one year apart, which both took places in Turkey’s most important music market’s “Top ten sellers” list. In 2018, he named his show that he did with his roommates Batikan Abiz and Batikan Tanrikulu “People Like Us”. Later on, this show turned into an event series and this helped them gain an audience that adopt the “People like us” motto, therefore announced their record company. The trio focused on their self journeys, the new projects and spent their time inside efficiently during the pandemic lockdowns. With the music style which he was inspired by philosophical perspectives such as deep thoughts and unknowns; he put together the darkness of techno and melodic sounds with energizing street style sounds. The sounds that he created with the analog synthesizers, the synchronized journey of the artist’s reality and imaginary world is directly connected to his moods. He ended up becoming one of the most successful names in Turkey and Istanbul’s night life by many projects he did under People Like Us Recordings and Sibourne Music in the styles of Melodic House/ Techno, Breakbeat, Deep House and Indie Dance where he was at the top of the Beatport Top 100 lists, along side with his post pandemic shows.
