Based in Washington, DC, Yasseen is a DJ, dancer, and organizer. As the co-founder of Soul Service (2021–2025), Yasseen helped build one of the region’s most vital dance-floor movements, rooted in joy, access, and collective energy. They helped shape accessible, movement-forward spaces across the DC Metro area, pairing community-centered programming with curated lineups. Yasseen has performed at DC staples such as Flash, 18th Street Lounge, and Bossa, and appeared at festivals including Capital House Fest (2022), and Blend Festival (2021) Off the floor, they are equally dedicated to dance education and cultural organizing, using music as a tool for joy, presence, and collective liberation.
