DJ Yaso G, moves as easily between genres (Hip Hop/Grime/Club/Baile Funk/Bass/Reggaeton) as she does between different regions. Born in the Ruhrpott, raised in Spain, long commuting between Hamburg and the new home of choice Berlin-Kreuzberg, each station on the way was (style-) influential. The first Missy CD and growing up with Hip Hop play a role, but above all also the Kurdish roots and influences of friends, community and her B2BCREW. Bringing all this together, weaving a mix from the loose strings: poli-rhythmic and bass-heavy, with rap from the queens and queers of the scene, that's what makes Yaso G's set so empowering and energetic.
