Biografía

Raised in Buenos Aires, DJ XAM76, also known as Maxi Cuenca, established himself by merging emotional beats and pulse-controlling basslines in the realm of the Boston-based techno scene. As a part of the Infra Collective, he contributes years of experience behind the decks to the underground community. Cuenca’s deep passion for electronic music started at the juvenile age of twelve and soon resulted in success. A crucial juncture in his career was taking part in the Heineken Thirst National DJs Contest, where he was part of the finalists which then fuelled his growing passion. In his early twenties, he kicked off the open sky rave party series La Vecindad and the underground club series Dogma Cultura Electrónica in Argentina. After relocating to Europe, he marked his territory in Barcelona (La Macarena, Piknik Electronic, MAD Radio), Warszawa (Technosoul - Luzztro), Glasgow (Niteworks - The Club), and Ibiza. His sound is predominantly shaped by his South American roots, his time in Argentina, India, Europe, and especially Barcelona, where he DJ and lived for several years. XAM76 describes his music himself as experimental and deeply emotional. Instead of catering to the mainstream, he uses hard drums, deep bass, melodic and acid elements to bring people together and let them connect through his daring beats.
