He started his musical journey at 17, releasing electro cuts as ‘Will Ortiz’ on imprints such as Leipzig’s Habibi Bass, Berlin based FTP and Wales’ Crazed Behaviour, with his Detroit influenced sound garnering support from heavyweights such as DJ Sweet6teen and DJ Fuckoff. In recent years he has swapped high tempo, busting breaks for driving prog and trance. His first ‘Wigs’ project materialised in the form of a mini album on Ajam’s Dream Software imprint, from which he demonstrated intricate sound design and tasteful, textural layering to create a lush, aquatic soundscape. Since its release, Wigs has become an affiliate to London’s Goddezz label, released multiple solo EPs and seen his first cut to wax alongside fellow youngster Body Clinic. He’s had his tracks played out by Job Jobse, Roza Terenzi, Kettama, Skin on Skin, Maruwa and THC to name a few. A keen digger of 90s and early 00s records, his sets boast a high octane blend of nostalgic euphoria and modern hedonism to create a high energy body workout.
