After some years playing around with his first CDJs, as a late teenager Whole Ball of Wax gets into record collecting, first focused on House music, but rapidly widening his musical taste, shaping a personal style that is rooted in Jazz but aims to embrace the whole spectrum of Black music: from Blues to Techno, passing through Funk, Disco, early and recent House, so called World music and all what’s in between. His eclectic taste reflects in unique and highly contagious dj sets that flow on a pondered midway between known and unknown, instinct and intuition, escapism and social commitment. Born in Milan, there in 2017 he co-founded web radio Officina Radio, recording musicians weekly and throwing related jam-sessions and parties. In 2018 he moved to Lisbon, getting to play in several venues that range from dusty associations such as Bus Paragem and Arroz Estúdios, to bigger dancefloors like Musicbox and Lounge. In 2022 he started Jazz DAO, the first Jazz collective on Web3, with which he's hosting weekly sessions featuring national and international bands and DJs from the Jazz universe and beyond.
