Wallflower's recently released EP on Rebirth "Say You Won't Ever" dives deep into the murkier ends of romance; a tale of love at first sight, turned murderous obsession. It was born from the cries of a Currarong bird that called in the early morning hours for days before Leah Floyeurs transposed it to her family's piano in Brisbane. Alison Marks' haunting vocals mirror the delicate balance between sweetness, sorrow and psychopath. The master Larry Heard has performed his magic with three emotive mixes - Club, Deep and Underground - whilst the Brooklyn-based trio Archie Pelago adds a seductive touch with an heavy swinging future jazz-dance mix.
