Biografía

Having been a house music aficionado since his teenage years, Jeremy immediately pursued his dream and went to work in the industry right after school. He got his start as an intern at Elite Music Group where he worked along with some of the industry's finest, including Issy Sanchez and Debra Eriksen. After a few months, Debra convinced him to come and work with her at the Vicious Muzik and Hot n' Spycy labels. While promoting the chart-toppers, Angel Moraes's "Welcome to the Factory" and the Shades of Love's "Keep in Touch (Body to Body)" remake, he formed a friendship with Alan Anderson at Moving Records in East Orange, NJ. Alan presented an offer he could not refuse, an opportunity to work for the legendary Tony Humphries and help launch the Yellorange label. Six months later, Jeremy took a short break from the industry and moved to the west coast to re-emerge as a DJ. While in San Francisco, he became a resident dj at the world-famous Endup from 1997-2001 at the Saturday morning party, Otherwhirled. He spent the next several years gigging at clubs in the Bay Area before returning to NYC in 2001. W. Jeremy is part of a collective known as House of Stank along with Christy Love. They began a weekly Wednesday party at Mr. Black, a small underground club in NYC called 'STANK'. STANK played host to many of house musics most influential figures, one of them being the legendary Wild Pitch Acid maestro, DJ Pierre. In April 2006, they, along with DJ Pierre, launched a monthly party at STANK, dubbed "AFRO ACID: The Chicago Sessions," where one Wednesday a month, Chicago jacked New York with such world-renowned guests as Cajmere (a.k.a. Green Velvet), Glenn Underground, Ron Carroll, Mark Grant and Harrison Crump. In 2007 and 2008, their debut and sophomore tracks, "Baby Brain" and "4 Tha Freaks," were released on DJ Pierre's label, Afro Acid Digital. In 2008 and 2009, they released, "Make U Jack" and "Get Up, Yeah!" on Dust Traxx Chicago. House of Stank has remixed such artists as Larry Tee, Hannah Holland and The 2 Bears. In the winter of 2010, they launched their own label, Get Up Recordings. The label feature releases from such artists as Tedd Patterson, Farley & Heller, Honey Dijon & Sebastian Manuel, Up Yours, The Cucarachas. Also a solo DJ and producer W. Jeremy has produced remixes for JD Samson & MEN, The Cucarachas and Angel Moraes. He holds residencies at Marquee on Thursdays, The Copacabana on Tuesdays and monthly at XL Nightclub and has played such festivals as the P.S. 1 Summer Warm-Up Series.
