Vivax In the last century, when he began to gig music, there were not even "mixes". Vivax took his first steps as a DJ in the early 80's in Lisbon, although in the 70's his appetite for record selection already made him the favourite selector of the innumerable garage parties in which he participated: his father's inheritance, music lover and audiophile by that time. He had gigs throughout his country and in Europe, both in the more "casual" environments and in the "best known" night clubbing venues. He uses all the means at his disposal to make sound, but his preference falls on vinyl, without fundamentalisms. Although somewhat empirical, he has an enormous taste for technology and audio systems, so having him around while setting-up dj booths and sound systems, ensures early resolution of problems, connections and other details that normally cause headaches… Vivax served as an inspiration for several generations of DJs, who have become recognized names in the Portuguese deejaying scene. His musical elasticity allows him the most varied musical wandering along the long and transverse path of music, beginning in easy-listening, but it’s in electronic dance music, somewhere between House, Techno, Electro and Breakbeat "on the edge" where he finds his preferred “booth”, creating in the audience not only an unusual astonishment but also an uncontrollable will to dance.
