VILA (BCN)

VILA is a Barcelona-based DJ & producer developing a distinctive sound he defines as Mediterranean Latin Tech — a meeting point between Latin rhythms, Afro grooves and contemporary electronic music. With a musical background as a bass player and years immersed in jazz and blues, VILA brings a musician’s instinct to the booth. Rhythm, progression and musicality are at the core of his sets, moving naturally between organic and hypnotic passages, deeper grooves and more energetic moments on the dancefloor. Drawing inspiration from the Mediterranean and from the musical cultures that connect it to Latin America and Africa, his selections incorporate influences ranging from salsa, bossa nova and flamenco to Afro House, Latin House and Tech House — without being confined to a single genre. Based in Barcelona and increasingly focused on the Mediterranean circuit, VILA creates sets designed around place and atmosphere, from beach clubs and sunset sessions to late-night dancefloors. His approach is simple: build the journey gradually, read the room and let rhythm lead the way. Mediterranean Latin Tech. From sunset to night.
