Following her interest in sound and collective listening, her current home in the circumpolar north, is frequented by friends and collaborators as sanctuary, studio and conduit. With the potential of sound itself being a temporary, immersive, shared space, she works with a series of field recordings and compositions from her nomadic studio, that intimately reflects selected places and moods. Her current live sets are intuitive compositions, layering sound as live collages, with the aim to exercise sonic dialogues that might entangle in the ecologies of the vast landscapes of within. A similar approach is guiding the selection of records and sounds presented in her DJ sets, mix tapes and radioshows. Following «Dybden», a shared 12" with DJ Sotofett released on WANIA (2016), and the two LP´s UDU and AVAV produced with Psykovarius put out by Sex Tags Amfibia, her most current solo compositions can be found on «Garden of Feelings», an LP also inaugurating her own label «In the Neighborhood of the Sun, the Moon and the Stars». 'Following up 2017's album "Udu" this is slow and powerful – with its set narration, but generous space and time, a room for imagination can cautiously be kept. A-side is direct, with generous intro's and endings, dense but with a light sonic specter, and a balance between the atonal & harmonious. B-side has darker undertones, being less framed it's more earthy and cosmic at the same time. Non rhythmic but all contrasting elements are here inseparable in sound and arrangement, from beginning till end, like a sonic tide.' -- Vera Dvale contributes with «Võttev» on the new compilation VAK10 | VA - The Warmest Hum. '«Võttev» by Vera Dvale is the final piece of «The Warmest Hum» and also the longest. It’s a rather minimalist composition based around a muffled low droning sound and flanged mid frequency pulsations that are filtered as well. Quite an odd piece to end with but it’s intriguing and like the previous piece does have quite a spooky sound to it. It feels very alien with its strong repetition of tones and pulses combined with the very artifacted, saturated and fuzzy sound of the track which makes it sound almost like coded radio transmissions being picked up or other types of coded or indicative sound signals. Its introspective alien sound does make a bit harder to get into perhaps, but with the constant subtly shifts in sonic texture it’s definitely a great piece of out-there underground electronic music that ends this compilation quite wonderfully.'
