It was back in 2011, somewhere in Australia's bush, at someone's house party, where Varuu ended up behind his first set of decks. What started as a party gag, soon became passion. Travelling around in a van, Varuu ended up behind even more decks -- but not by surprise anymore. His sound grew richer with the countries he visited, ranging from downtempo over warming house to ecstatic tech-house, with a guilty pleasure of disco. Back in Berlin, Varuu joined forces with Section 8 to take his sound to the clubs of the big B. Today, he is a resident DJ at Birgit&Bier and initiator of the Slowtribe downtempo collective.
